Mouth Ulcer

Mouth ulcers are usually small, painful lesions that develop in the mouth or at the base of the gums. They can make eating, drinking, and talking uncomfortable. Women, adolescents, and people with a family history of canker sores are at higher risk of developing canker sores. Canker sores are not contagious and usually go away in a week or two.
